To honor the memory of Nick’s giving spirit, we’re always looking for programs and organizations that are making a real difference in the lives of people in our community. And this December, we decided to assist one very important local organization with an annual donation.
We’re proud to announce that the Nicholas D. Sergi Foundation has made our first annual $20,000 donation to the Walworth County Food & Diaper Bank.
The food bank serves about 500 families every month, providing fresh, healthy food including lean meats, seasonal produce, pantry staples like rice, beans, and pasta, and canned goods. According to Food Bank director Susan Hughes, our annual donation will allow the food bank to purchase about 30,000 pounds of fresh produce. “That feeds a lot of people with a lot of fresh food, a lot of beneficial food and a lot of healthy food,” Hughes said.
We’re delighted to be able to honor Nick’s memory by continuing his tradition of giving back to our community. We look forward to continuing our support of this amazing organization and expanding our support to other worthwhile organizations.
